In February 2024, a celebration of a career spanning X years, Y global exhibitions and Z awards comes together in a monumental retrospective exhibition ‘Then I Knew I Was Good at Painting: Esther Mahlangu, A Retrospective’, curated by Nontobeko Ntombela, which will be launched at the Iziko South African National Gallery in Cape Town South Africa.
Following the launch the exhibition is set to tour respected local and international museums for an extended period thereafter.
