Dr Esther Mahlangu attended the opening of her solo ‘Timeless’ at the Oliewenhuis Art Museum in Bloemfontein on 23 May. A large crowd of over 200 people attended the opening to celebrate her exhibition and extraordinary career.
The exhibition includes various new paintings and some heavily beaded blankets in the style for which she has become so globally acclaimed.
The opening doubled as the media relaunch of the Women of Note 2019, a popular music festival in Bloemfontein that celebrates women. Dr Mahlangu agreed to an association with this years festival as their objectives are woman’s rights are close to her heart.
